ABOUT THE CHILDCARE HOME
The House of Angels is primarily located in my home. Our home is a "smoke free environment" in a family setting. We have a capacity of twelve children,
including my own two. We offer childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We have a large play area with various interest centers (housekeeping,
blocks and building, reading), an area for art and unstructured learning activities, and a bathroom for the children's use. The playground consists of a
large fenced area with a sand play area. We offer nutritious meals. (breakfast, lunch, pm snacks). Meals and snacks are served in the kitchen
area. AND, most of all we offer lots of love and individual attention. This is my family's home as well as a childcare. Children will spend some time in
the main floor living room, the dining room, kitchen, and in the daycare infant's room. Children are not allowed in the master bedroom. This is to preserve my family's
privacy. I appreciate your respect in this matter.
The major goal of the childcare program is to support the growth and development of young children. Each child is given the opportunity to learn in a secure and loving environment.
Each child is treated as an individual with specific needs and interests. Comparisons with others are avoided. The child is encouraged to attempt projects,
but the results need not be perfect. Whatever children accomplish on their own is worthy of recognition. Each child is given responsibility for completing projects on his/her own.
Each child is encouraged to respect the rights of others. Physical violence is discouraged. Children are instructed and encouraged to use words to solve
problems. Children learn to be responsible for their own actions.
Christianity is emphasized in the House of Angels' program. There are occasional Bible-themed activities, daily devotions and prayers.
